hello again edge fanz!
the olympics have been awesome eh? GO CANADA GO!!!
you know, it makes me wonder something though...like, what the athletes must feel when they don't make the podium?
they train, workout, live disciplined lives for most of their entire life all for one moment...that moment can be decided in 30 seconds sometimes. it comes...then it's over, and there can only be 3 on the podium...and only 1 is gold.
when they don't win...when stuff goes wrong...when they don't get the
gold...or even the bronze, why don't they just quit?
that seems to be the easy solution. they work, and work, and work...and
what's the payoff, leaving without a medal?
sometimes our life can be like that of an athlete. we work...we train...we live disciplined lives (for the most part)...then something goes wrong. or we don't achieve what we expected. most times we figure it's easy just to give up...and to further that...not even try again.
what does the bible say about that? check out what it says in Acts 2:25-28 from the message bible:
I saw God before me for all time.
Nothing can shake me; he's right by
my side.
I'm glad from the inside out, ecstatic;
I've pitched my tent in the land of
hope.
I know you'll never dump me in Hades;
