Welcome Message

Over the past seven years, as Harvest Family Church has been changing and growing, we’ve had the honor and privilege of overseeing and leading God’s people to wherever He wants us to go.

The name Harvest literally means – “To gather together that which is of great value.” NOWis the time to Harvest people into the kingdom!  It says in John 4:35 , “... the fields are ripe for the harvest”.It goes on to say later that “... the fields are ready but the laborers are few.” We are out to change that.  You see, this world is our assignment, not our home. Our purpose is eternal. The resources needed to complete the assignment are unlimited, and available to us all. We are to operate in the supernatural because a supernatural God lives in us... making this the normal Christian life!

What we want to live in and walk in is nothing more than the Father’s love, His life, and His liberty. We want to walk in the supernatural and see it become the natural. I echo the words of Bill Johnson, “It is abnormal for a Christian not to have a hunger for the impossible. It has been written into our spiritual DNA to hunger for the impossibilities around us to bow at the name of Jesus. If we want to do what Jesus did, we need to do what Jesus did!”

We are on a journey. Moving forward in a world that tries to hold us back. Our goal is not just to go to heaven, but to bring heaven to our world. “...Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

At Harvest, we believe that 2010 is the year of new beginnings, and our motto this year is “Healing the Heart...Reaping the Harvest”

We are out to embrace those divine appointments set up by God and make Him famous. We want to learn to just be in His Presence, to soak in His love, and then give it away to Winnipeg and the world.

We warmly welcome you into our family, and pray that as you grow in Him, you will become even more acquainted with the Father’s heart, with His love, and His passion.

our-history

Duane and Tamara Siemens have been pastoring together since 1991 as Assistant Pastors at Waves of Glory Church. They have lived in the Maples for 21 years. They have 3 sons: Braden, Caleb, and Joel.
In the summer of 2002, God spoke to them a prophetic Word:

I sense in the Spirit that many churches have been praying and crying out for a great Harvest and unknowingly have conceived in their spiritual wombs more than one seed for more than one birth to advance God's Kingdom.

I sense this year, 2002, is a year of Double Portion or Blessing – giving birth to twins for many churches.

Many leaders may fail to see God's bigger picture. There may be double births taking place in one church. Some will think it's the enemy trying to divide their vision of reaching the Harvest but it's actually God's multiplication system being punched in to bless churches with more of His Greater Vision to reach the lost by birthing more than one vision in a church. “There is a Kingdom that scatters and yet increases” (Proverbs 11:24)

Don't be surprised to see the Lord birth two churches out of one in some congregations. This may look on the surface as division or a church split. Some may even feel like they are being pushed out of a church through unpleasant complicated circumstances – but this is a normal part of the Divine Birthing Process, for some would never leave the womb without God's “ways and means committee”. Many times this is God's way of planting churches to fulfill His plans more effectively.

Harvest Family Church was established on January 12, 2003 in the gymnasium of Elwick Community School. With ten people released from Waves Of Glory Church, the vision from the Lord was to reconnect our community with the revelation of the intimacy of the Father’s love. With that as our focus, Harvest took every tradition and practice of the church and placed them before the Lord, determining to pick up and use only those which would be relevant to our assignment.

In September of 2003, Harvest moved into the lower level of The Lincoln Motor Hotel....right under a bar. The novelty of the location attracted attention, and the new slogan was born: Harvest Family Church ... The Church That Isn't In A Church!

Today Harvest is a vibrant body of believers from all walks of life and all ages, eager to make a lasting impact on their city and the world. Our worship is passionate and contemporary. Our preaching is strategic and uncomplicated. Our ministry focus is relational paving the way to impacting lives through spiritual encounters with the one, true living God.
